Artisteer has been out for a couple of years now, and seeing that it continually updates code for nearly all the major content management systems and blogging programs.  I felt it was due to have it reviewed.  The version of Artisteer were reviewing is Artiseer 3 build 0.41778. The latest version of Artisteer up till today’s date.

For first off you can tell by the build number that Artisteer is constantly updating.  This is because content management systems (CMS) , like WordPress, Drupal, Blogger and DotNetnuke are also constantly updating.  I have never had a compatibility problem even know the CMS changes monthly, primarily because any big changes Artisteer changes right along with it.

Other than constantly being one-step ahead of the coding changes, Artisteer offers much more. The time it takes to create great looking themes and templates are nearly halved by Artisteer. There is no screwing around in Dreamweaver for hours, no digging out books to remember how to make word press blocks system or Drupal template code and Artisteer allows you to change the look and color model for the entire site with a few clicks of a button instead of going back and plowing over Photoshop for a hour.  Plus it is compatable with all browsers and the new changes in given to us by HTML 5

Now I still use Photoshop opting for homemade graphics versus the premade ones Artisteer, but I really don’t have to do this, I just do it because, frankly I like making pretty graphics, it gets my artsy fartsy urges out.  Artisteer is useable by webpage professionals as well as normal people. You really do not need to have any technical knowledge to create a good looking template.
